The business rescue practitioners (BRPs) for embattled State-owned national flag carrier South African Airways (SAA) have asked the airline’s creditors to vote for or against yet another extension to the publication of the business rescue plan for the company. The creditors have until close of business on Monday June 8 to cast their votes, by email. This vote has been called in response to a request from the trade unions representing the majority of SAA’s personnel. These are the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa, the South African Cabin Crew Association and the South African Airways Pilots Association.
