The new sweeter spot that platinum group metals (PGM) has entered drew a multiplicity of mainly optimistic viewpoints from analysts attending the virtual PGM Industry Day. Chaired by business development manager Rand Merchant Bank Henk de Hoop, the viewpoints were provided by Standard Chartered Bank executive director precious metals research Suki Cooper, Prudential portfolio manager Simon Kendall, Bank of America Europe, Middle East and Africa metals and mining research analyst Patrick Mann and Kagiso Asset Management portfolio manager Mandi Dungwa.
