Local Law 152 of 2016 requires mandatory inspections for exposed gas piping in New York City buildings. The law covers all buildings that are not classified as occupancy R-3, and they are divided into four groups based on community districts. The inspection reports for the first group of buildings must be submitted by December 31,2020, and will then at four-year intervals.
