The South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (Sacci's) Business Confidence Index (BCI) decreased to 94 points in March, which is marginally down from the 94.3 recorded in February and the 94.5 recorded in January. In light of the impact of the lockdown on the business climate and economic activity, the private sector has shown resilience and tenacity with a substantial number of businesses managing to survive the adverse climate, Sacci says.
