US supports South Africa’s vaccine roll-out strategy with $3m

The US is supporting South Africa’s Covid-19 vaccine strategy by providing $3-million, or R45-million, in funding for vaccine distribution, field hospitals and data surveillance, through the US Agency for International Development (USAID). United States chargé d'affaires Todd Haskell said on Thursday that the US government was committed to ending the Covid-19 pandemic and to supporting South Africa’s vaccine roll-out strategy.
