President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that the Transnet National Ports Authority will become an independent subsidiary of Transnet. The President was speaking during a visit to the Port of Cape Town on June 22. He was joined by Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan, Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula, Western Cape Premier Alan Winde and Transnet Group CEO Portia Derby.
