Diversified miner South32 has reiterated its commitment to the Paris Agreement objectives, with the miner committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050. In May, South32 announced its target to achieve a 50% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 operational emissions by the 2035 financial year. To achieve this, the miner is investing in efficiency projects, studying green energy alternatives, applying low-carbon design principles and evaluating low-carbon technologies.
