The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) has started with nationwide demonstrations, while wage negotiations with the Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa (Seifsa) are ongoing. Seifsa says this action has, so far, involved peaceful demonstration and not picketing.
