The Absa Manufacturing Survey for the third quarter recorded a slight dip in overall sector confidence, with business confidence falling by five points to 41. “With continued uncertainty regarding Covid-19 lockdown restrictions during the quarter, as well as the unrest experienced in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng, the drop in confidence is not too surprising.
