Airlink to launch service to Luanda, Angola; resume domestic service to Polokwane

South African private-sector airline Airlink has announced that it will start a new direct route between Johannesburg, South Africa, and Luanda, Angola, from October 21. The new service will be operated three times a week and tickets are already on sale. “The South Africa-Angola corridor has been underserved given its crucial commercial and economic importance,” pointed out Airlink CEO and MD Rodger Foster. “By establishing this service, Airlink is providing customers with more affordable competitive choices on the route. This will benefit businesses and stimulate commercial activity between the two cities and countries. In doing so, we will be able to promote travel, air cargo and tourism, all of which are vital to re-energise economies as we emerge from the pandemic crisis.”
