Diversified mining and marketing company Glencore on Thursday unequivocally stuck to its climate-change strategy of running down its coal 15% by 2026 and 30% by 2035, ahead of being net zero by 2050. “That’s written in stone,” Glencore CEO Gary Nagle told journalists during a media conference, where Glencore industrial assets head Peter Freyberg assured Mining Weekly that where mines were closed, just transitions would follow.
