The private healthcare sector in South Africa has launched an industry-wide Health Information Exchange (HIE) to foster collaboration across the private healthcare sector, says private healthcare funders and providers nonprofit company CareConnect. Clinical data and information will be shared through this collaboration with the ultimate goal of improving patient care and efficiencies in the health sector.
