Brazil-based major aerospace and defence group Embraer has reported on its commercial aircraft deliveries for the first nine months of this year (9M22), as well as those during the third quarter (3Q22). At the end of 3Q22, the group’s firm order backlog was worth $17.8-billion, which was, Embraer stated, “stable compared with the last quarter”. In its commercial business, the company specialises in single-aisle airliners with 150 seats or less, and indeed is the world’s leading manufacturer in this category, as well as in light and midsize executive (or business) jets. It is also active in agricultural and military aviation, other defence sectors, and space.
